Our classes focus on partner dancing, which is enjoyed both socially and competitively all around the world for its entertainment value. In the competitive world of dance, it is known as Dancesport. We offer two categories of dance styles: Standard/Ballroom and Latin. Standard/Ballroom consists of five dances, including the International style Waltz, Tango, Slow Foxtrot, Quickstep, and Viennese Waltz, while Latin consists of the International style Cha Cha, Samba, Rumba, Paso Doble, and Jive.
Each category has its unique technique, posture, rhythm, and attitude, but they both embody the core elements of ballroom dancing, which involve executing movements with control and connecting the mind and body to produce quality outcomes.
Ballroom dancing is widely recognised and enjoyed on stage, film, and television, including popular shows like “Dancing With The Stars” in the US and “Strictly Come Dancing” and its tour in the UK. Dancing encourages experimentation and self-expression and helps to rewire the mind to find different pathways to solving everyday challenges. It is vital for personal development to learn the importance of perseverance and self-motivation. Beginner Latin and Ballroom Dance Class in Glenfield
Our Beginner Ballroom & Latin Dance Classes in Glenfield are perfect for anyone who is new to dance, lacks confidence, or wants to build a strong foundation of dance skills. Our classes are designed to start from the very basics, where you will begin dancing solo to absorb the information we give you. As you progress, we will introduce you to the mechanics of partner dancing, such as how to hold and embrace your partner.
We take pride in building your confidence at a slower pace, allowing you to develop a strong understanding of the basics and become aware of the music as you learn Ballroom and Latin dances to a confident level. Our classes will give you the ability to glide around the floor with the right technique. You'll learn about the history and origins of each dance, the character, mood, and postural alignment of each dance to tell a story from dance to dance.
Our classes cover a wide range of dances, including Standard/Ballroom, Latin-American, Cuban Salsa/Bachata/Lambada, Argentine Tango, American Smooth, and more. You can even request for a Strictly-style course! We recommend attending our beginner classes religiously for six months to two years to progress to the next level, Improvers.
Our classes are taught in comfortable clothes, easy movements from the hip joint, and comfortable dancing shoes with non-rubber soles, ideal for gliding across the floor.
Improvers Latin and Ballroom Dance Class
Our improvers classes are designed to help you further develop your dance skills and techniques. In this class, we will focus on weight transfer, footwork, and developing your partnering skills through innovative technique tips. You will learn complex patterns and dance sequences that will challenge your stamina and focus, while also improving your posture, shaping, and coordination. We will also introduce you to different types of rhythm changes that create a surprise element for the observer.
To get the most out of this class, we recommend wearing comfortable clothes that allow easy movement from the hip joint, and comfortable dancing shoes with non-rubber soles.
At Bradley Dance Freelance, we cover a range of skills and styles, including Standard/Ballroom dances such as Waltz, Tango, Slow Foxtrot, Quickstep, and the Viennese Waltz, as well as Latin-American dances such as Cha Cha, Samba, Rumba, Paso Doble, and Jive. To progress to our Advanced/Choreography level, we recommend attending our Improvers class regularly for 2-8 years. If you're new to dancing, we recommend starting with our beginner programs, so that we can assess your level and ability.

Advanced Latin and Ballroom Dance Class in Glenfield
Our Advanced Adult Dance classes are designed for experienced dancers who have been dancing religiously for over 8 years. These classes are ideal for those who have goals and dreams, such as competitive work, exams, or simply expressing themselves through dance and choreography.
Previous professional experience from Ballet or similar styles would suit someone for this class.
Our classes are structured to ensure gradual progression with complex timings and choreographies that challenge your skills and experiences. We focus on the finer points of each step and figure, enabling you to develop your awareness and incorporate more energy as a leader to feed your follower, creating a beautiful extension of energy transfer as one, dancing together.
We cover a variety of dance styles such as Standard/Ballroom, Latin-American, Cuban Salsa/Bachata/Lambada, Argentine Tango, American Smooth, and everything Strictly. Comfortable clothes, easy movement from the hip joint, and comfortable dancing shoes with non-rubber soles are ideal for gliding across the floor.
